SHAC exists in order to represent student opinions. We invite feedback from all students, especially regarding SHAC projects, health center policies, and suggestions for how to enhance health services and promote student health. Any correspondence addressed to SHAC may be reviewed by the entire committee. Messages may be sent anonymously, but their content is in no way confidential. Please keep the following points in mind as you address the committee:

• We are not clinicians. None of the members of the committee are qualified nor licensed to diagnose or treat any medical condition. Please make an appointment to see a trained clinician regarding symptoms of illness and personal medical concerns.

• We are an advisory board. The scope of our work is limited to representing student opinions and concerns in meetings with the Director and staff. SHAC does not directly enact UHC policy. We are happy to investigate your concerns and publish unofficial reports of our findings.
